Why Now?
You know why is NOW the best time to start a home based business? I’m sharing 3 most important reasons why I think that is.
I started my home based business 5 years ago for maybe different reasons than some would do today. To me what I wanted was to be able to work from home and be around my son. I was trying to figure out the way where he wouldn’t be left in daycare all day long.
And now especially over the last year during pandemic, we helped so many get started who were affected by it and lost their jobs and security.
3 Reasons Why…
So here are the 3 reasons why I think that there has never been a better time to start a home business than now.
- Current situation– the first reason why is current situation with mandates, pandemic, lack of job security. Having a job is no longer considered a security. 40-40-40 plan where you work 40 hours for 40 years to make 40% of your income is not our reality anymore. Being in control of your finances is now more secure than relying on a job.
- Tax benefits– one of my favorite reasons… Did you know that if you have a home business vs. a job with W2, you can save thousands in taxes. The ways you file a tax for business vs employee are huge. Even just investing one time and not even growing it, puts you in a category where you can write off pretty much anything. For example millage, home office expense, phones, internet, travel, hotel stays. Imagine, every vacation that you take, it’s now a business expense.
- Business owner– it puts you in that category now. Robert Kiyosaki talks about a cash quadrant in his book Rich dad, poor dad. There are 4 quadrants, 2 at the top are E-mployee, S-elf employed, B-usiness owner and I-nvestor. The top 2 are trading time for money. The bottom 2 are making the money work for you. Working for money, a paycheck will never make you rich. You got to find a way for the money to work for you.
