The 5 Myths
- This is a numbers game– I’m sure you’ve heard this one. The thing is you can go through 100 people a day asking them to look at your business and you’ll get 10 that will look and 90 that are annoyed. Does it feel good doing this day after day?
- You are just ONE recruit away from exploding in your business– I know people who have brought in hundreds of people and still haven’t found that one. It can be very demotivating to you always chasing that ideal business partner that is going to change everything.
- Most of your time should be spent prospecting– You can utilize your time way better than just to rely on prospecting. as a matter a fact I have met people who don’t prospect at all anymore and are bringing dozens of people into their business every month. They have learned the secret of attraction marketing. Do most of activities that bring you most profit for the time spent doing it.
- Recruiting is a key to success in network marketing– recruiting is important, but it is not “a key”. There are other things just as important. We have to think if people we are recruiting are the right type of people who are motivated and willing to put in the work that’s needed.
- Don’t reinvent the wheel– Sometimes it is a good thing to reinvent the wheel, especially if the old wheel is not bringing in desired results. I’m not saying to go and start your own team and system, but certain things can be implemented that will help you grow your business. I’ve done this where I tested an idea and it had brought me some pretty amazing achievements.
There is a better way… I hate to break this news to you, but it is time to move away from old methods that simply don’t work anymore.
They say “if you’re not growing, you are shrinking”. Learning how to build your business online is a huge asset and skill. Most new people joining you are looking for ways to grow your business utilizing power of social media.
Instead of chasing strangers at the mall, talking about your business with anyone 3 feet away from you, hosting home parties are things from the past. Especially now in the last 2 years, we have learned this to be true.
