3 Categories
Before I share what these 10 posts, I want to break down 3 categories all of these posts fall under. Those categories are:
- Grow
- Engage
- Promote
Grow posts are providing value, growing your reach and audience. Engage posts are boosting interactions, engagement, you are learning about their problems, struggles and what makes them happy, so you can provide even more value in return.
Promote posts are where you are actually offering solution, selling or “selling the thing that sells the thing”. Lol, you’re probably: “What does that mean?” It means simply that you are offering more value, giving them something for free first.
Which one out of 3 MOST MARKETERS lead with?
You guessed it, it is number 3, promote, promote, promote…. and no wonder no one is seeing their posts or buying from them. They are only SELLING and are not providing any value.
10 Posts
1. Ask questions
You are a “Data Collector So You Can Be A Value Provider”- Kate McShea said it right. You are collecting data from asking the right questions, so you can create helpful content around their feedback. This can be your solely source of content creation for all your posts and videos.
Start your questions with “what do you think” or “just curious___________”.
2. Opinions
Another big one for data collection is asking for opinions. Disclosure here, be ok with other people’s opinions even if they are different than yours. This can be anything from a hot topic to something simple like “Which dress should I wear for my next stage event?”
3. Inspiring
Inspiring post can be a quote or a story. It can be your personal or someone else’s story. Definitely include these in your posting routine.
4. Vulnerability
These posts are VERY POWERFUL. You got to get comfortable sharing some vulnerable things about you. This is the type of post that really connects. Just imagine, if sharing something that you went through or are going through, could change someone’s life, show them there is a hope. You never know what someone might be going through and your story might touch their life.
They definitely get attention, people are curious and lots of eye balls will be on this post. A very optional thing is to have some type of soft “call to action” in the end so you can continue conversation in private.
Also if you are talking about your HIGHS don’t forget to share your LOWS too. For example if you are now living in a million dollar mansion, share the time when you were sleeping on friends sofa not being able to afford a place to live.
5. Rant
Rants are OK. Don’t be a vanilla with your content. Stand for something. It will attract to you more people like you are and repeal the ones who aren’t for you (trust me, you want this). Careful how you do your ranting, that is not offensive, rude and negative. It is bringing across a message and it’s not just complaining.
6. Fill in a blank_______
So many posts like this to play with. They are typically great for engagement and you WANT THAT. Remember, more engagement, more visibility.
7. Lifestyle
Think of a Reality TV…. people love watching everyday random things. Everything you do, no matter how boring you might think it is, will create interest. Lifestyle is not only posting flashy homes and cars or private islands…. you are actually way more relatable to majority of people who can’t even dream about having this.
So yes your homecooked meal, you watching TV with family, playing with kids at the park, taking a walk, showing your messy house…. it is all lifestyle. Show them who you are behind the scenes.
8. Repurpose old post
Every day we get memories of our old posts…. ever thought about repurposing them? I always play around with either photos or texts in them and I refresh it into a brand new post. Also posts that do really well… save them. You can use them again in time. I just had a viral Mother’s day prank post that I’m definitely saving to use next year….
Always go through these daily and just leave a new comment on some of them. It will put them back in timeline.
9. Announcement
FINALLY!!! You’re probably asking now, which one is the post that can create all these sales. Well this one!! Actively promoting something, a call, a webinar, live video, help with________ (a benefit your product can provide). These posts can be VERY POWERFUL. They are great also if combined with one of the vulnerability posts or can be just stand alone.
There are many different CTA’s (Calls To Action) to use here like ask them to reach out to you for more information or to comment something. Now in order to get results from this type of post, you MUST post all the others too and then sprinkle this one in here and there. Think of it, you’re building and building audience, have all eyes on you… and when you do, then you drop a line.
10. What’s trending/what’s hot
Always follow what’s trending and try to create content around it but bringing it back to what you do. Every story can have a “btw” or mentioning something different while they are reading or watching you.
Now that you learned about all 10, it is time to implement what you just learned. The best thing to do is have a schedule when you are posting what. For example what day are you asking questions, when posting about lifestyle or providing other values. Stick to 80:20 rule, meaning 80% of your posts are other than announcement posts. So about every 5th post can have some type of call to action.
Hope you got value from this. If you did, I know my Attraction Marketing FREE Boot Camp can help you even more. Get started with it here:
