If your profile is not on point, you are maybe working harder than you should. Your profile is like your store front window. It is also their FIRST IMPRESSION of you.
In today’s episode I’ll share with you how to optimize your profile so you can sit back and relax while getting leads and customers. You will get followers, friends who want to stay engaged, want to buy from you or want to join your team.

Your profile draws people to you!
Let’s get down to business and break down the major components, or better said most important ones on your profile. Btw, this applies to all platforms not just Facebook.
Profile picture
A headshot of YOU smiling…. that’s it. You don’t want to have more people, squirrels or puppies there. Make it easy for people who are checking you out, this is the first thing they will look at and decide if they want to be friends.
Cover Photo
Your cover photo can create a bit of a story what you are about and it is ok to have family, pups or kitties there. You can post a picture or create something simple in Canva. Or even outsource it if you like.
Bio
Those first few lines are so important so use them wisely. Your message needs to be clear. These few characters available are not a good place to put info about you, instead focus on how are you helping them.
Secret sauce
This seriously is a secret sauce… because this can get you automated leads and sales. This is Linktree. Linktree is an amazing free tool where you can add multiple links. I suggest that less is more. If you have too many things, people get lost. For example I have 1. a free resource 2. blog link for more free training 3. Work with me option and the rest are my social media channels.
When using this you can set up your content in a way that you are pointing people to your link in bio. This has been working wonderfully for me and it is how I get most of my leads and sales.
Content
The next thing people see first is your last 5 posts. If you’ve been “Spamela Anderson” and posted about your opportunity and products all the time it is time to change that. Delete those recent posts from your profile. Posting like this comes across repelling.
Your content needs to be valuable, helpful and provide solutions to people. Only about 20% of your content can be announcement type posts where you are making an offer or asking your audience to take a certain action. This mainly applies to Facebook.
Instagram and TikTok for example are different. There you want to only talk about one specific content.
Photo quality
Another thing we need to address is the quality of your media. This doesn’t mean you need a professional photographer. But, you want to have latest phone technology, apps to edit and beautify your photos. The best lighting when taking pictures is if you are facing natural light.
Having more professional profile will give you credibility.
Remove all drama
Look at your profile and see if there is drama, polarizing or negative posts. If so delete them. Polarizing is not always a bad thing, but here’s a twist…
If you are posting a rant, something you stand for or stand against be sure to end it positive. Those posts can be very powerful if there is a higher message that is making a difference and not purely complaining.
