Can you really grow a team without prospecting?

When I first heard this… I was skeptical too. I could not believe this is possible. Pretty much from the beginning I was told that prospecting is the only way, you have to actively reach out to people in order to grow a Network Marketing team.

But once I learned that prospecting ISN’T THE ONLY WAY, I was hooked. I would never do it any other way. Watch this video first to learn more:

Step 1 Attract audience

You got to ATTRACT your ideal audience. In Attraction Marketing first thing we teach is creating or picking your target market. Your target market are the people who have the same interests, dreams and aspirations as you. And whenever you make a new post or a video they are raising their hands because it speaks to them. How would you like that?

So how do you find your target market.  I have another training I did on this I will attach here: How To Identify Your Niche For Network Marketers.

Where to find your Target Market

You can find them on any social media channel you want to work with. It can be Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Clubhouse, LinkedIn or even YouTube.

One of these channels is going to be your hub, your main one.

In the beginning you will be finding people in your target market ACTIVELY, and later they will be coming to you after you’ve built an influence with them.

The best place right now in 2023 to ATTRACT your ideal audience is by far A SHORT FORM VIDEO. The great thing about it is that it is shown to the people you don’t know. All social media channels are competing right now with short video content and they want to dominate it. It is also what most people are consuming right now too.

I create 1 short video on Instagram and then I repurpose it immediately to Facebook, YouTube and TikTok. This way my videos are seen by different people all across different platforms. And I only did the work ONCE.

Before you create enough influence so people come to you, here are some cool places where you can find your ideal audience.

On Facebook that is in Groups. That is Facebook’s most unique feature and you practically have millions of groups in any interest or niche.

There are also Gurus that are in your specific target market too. If they are posting or advertising, you will find your ideal prospects inside of the comments. So find and follow them.

But remember… as Attraction Marketer you are only expanding your network to connect, make new friendships and not to prospect them sooner or little bit later.

We are not selling to them, but providing value through your content and if they are interested, they are the ones raising their hand first.

I suggest connecting with new people DAILY. I still do. I connect with 10 new people in my target market on Facebook every day and I follow 100 new Instagram accounts daily too.

So the inbound friend requests and follows that I get are an added bonus.

Making new friends is enjoyable for me especially because I am not pressured into prospecting them. The answer to when do we prospect them is NEVER!

Later on you will be attracting your target market passively and even automated via ads. It is great when your whole team is doing it.

Step 2 is Building Influence

Your main action as an Attraction Marketer is content creation. I LOVE the way I am building my business right now. And before, I was building more traditionally, prospecting and i hated it! Being rejected, ghosted and hated on is no fun.

I remember being told: “You got to keep prospecting until your marketing kicks in.” Well if I was spending all my free time on prospecting and following up one on one with everyone, I didn’t have time to focus on MARKETING.

I remember reaching out and prospecting 25 people every day and if I was in one of those runs or blitzes, it would be close to a 100 per day. It was crazy and I was staying up till 2 in he morning messaging with people.

Yes I would enroll a few people but it was nothing like when I am creating content and only talking with super qualified people who are raising their hand.

The third step is ENROLL

Remember that after doing the first 2 steps right, you will have prospects reaching out to you first. So the ENROLLMENT process is very simple.

There is no hard selling, convincing or persuading someone to join. Most people that come to you are ready to join you already. This is how simple that process is. You don’t have to be overcoming any crazy objections. They are already pre-sold and already feel like they know, like and trust you.

Pressure is off. This is the way I like building my business. with people who are already motivated and want to make it happen. Because if you have to convince people to join you, you’ll have to keep convincing them to stay too.

I do NOT tell my new team member to make a list of a 100 and go prospect them.

In my team we are building using Attraction Marketing from Day 1. They don’t have to go send scripted copy/paste messages to all of their friends and family. We teach them modern marketing ways that are result driven and they attract their customers and business builders in a first few days. No 3 way calls or home presentations either.

As soon as we get them in profits which is usually their first month in business, we then teach them more advanced Attraction Marketing skills so they can start expanding their network aligned with their target market right from a start.
