Social Media- A “Modern Obsession”

Would you like to get more rapid engagement with your friends and followers?

Social media right now is  like a “modern obsession”….

Everyone is on their phones, checking their social media every hour of the day.

I’m going to share 6 powerful ways for you to capture that engagement.

Watch this video first to find out:

In the video I share how to blow up your social media presence, create a brand and attract interested prospects to you in my FREE Attraction Marketing Bootcamp. You can sign up using the button below.

Building a loyal following

Social media is the best place to build a loyal following.

What do you think comes first, building following or monetization on social media?

Most network marketers get it wrong here. They focus more on marketing their services and their products and less about attracting their ideal prospects, and creating their following.

FIRST, you have to create your “fan base” and then engage them with value.

People want to socialize on social media and don’t want to be constantly marketed to.

6 ways to boost engagement

Here are my 6 favorite ways to boost engagement with your friends and followers on social media.

1. Questions & opinions

Ask them:

“What is your opinion on________?(problem in your niche)

“This or that?”

People love to give their opinions and comments. What they also like, if it is a very engaging post, they like to read other people’s comments and have interactions with them.

This is going to boost your engagement and sometimes, if the post goes viral, it stays on top of the newsfeed for days after. It’s because people are still answering and reading those comments.

2. Inspiration

I share something motivational at least once per week. It’s something I find that’s valuable to me and I think my audience will also like.

This can be an image, a text or a video. It can be you talking about something that inspired you in a book, a course or a video.

When you are sharing someone else’s quote, be sure to always add your comment to why this inspired you.  Why was that meaningful to you.

This is really important when you are building your brand that you are either creating your own quotes or giving your insight on others.

3. Vulnerability & storytelling

Being vulnerable opens you up to your audience in a way they feel they can like, trust and be connected with you on a much deeper level. This is powerful.

Share your struggles, aspirations, dreams, failures and your challenges. People want to know and they will deeply connect with you.

More that you share, more people will be open to share their goals with you in private.

This can be done in a longer post or in a video. Either way is great.

4. Funny posts

This is my personal favorite. I like making people laugh.

Every time I’m just scrolling through my social media and I find something funny, I will go ahead and save this post. Also, I will likely ask a permission to share it from who originated it.

Now I have a library of funny posts I can look into and share the one I pick every week.

Facebook is kind of on to us marketers about fishing for comments with certain posts. And sometimes it doesn’t show them to all of our followers. But with funny posts it is natural and you will get lots of engagement.

People love funny and there’s never enough of that.

These posts also get lots of comments and stay on top of the news feed for days. Another thing is they get lots of shares so your content is being seen by people who you don’t even know.

5. Share your rants, opinions and straight talk

As long as you are not talking about politics…

Sometimes you need to spice up your content and qualify your audience. We don’t want to all look the same and have the same message. You cannot be “vanilla”, that is boring. Show what you are for and what you stand against.

Always do it in a way that’s not negative or creating drama. Avoid controversy. Instead of politics, you can rant about something in your industry.

6. CTA and ask for interactions

“If you don’t tell people what to do, they will do absolutely nothing.”

This is really important. Especially if you are trying to create more interest about your services or products.

Yo can ask people to message you, write a comment, save or share. It is training your audience how to react to your posts in the future.

My favorite call to action that doesn’t sound very “salesy” is “Let me know if you’d like me to share more info.” When you are using “let me know…” it is non-threatening .

They already know how to reach out to you if they want it.

People will then either message or comment if they are interested. I get tons of people requesting info from me this way.

You don’t sound desperate this way either.

It sounds much better than when marketers say: “Ask me how…”. That type of CTA can ruin the whole post.

You got to create interactions, build those relationships.

Building your business online is a long-term process and it doesn’t happen overnight. Be consistent with your schedule once you decide when you will make your posts. If you are posting on every week day, your audience will expect this. So if you skip days, you are starting all over again.

Engagement alone doesn’t pay the bills, but it’s 100% necessary.

Who are you going to market to if you don’t have engagement. Build those relationships. People need to like, know and trust you before they make a decision to work with you or buy from you.

You will have less objections, less skepticism if people already trust you.
