I had both of my kids kind of late in life, my son at 36 and my daughter at 41. With my daughter I gained a lot of extra weight, a lot more than avarage. I also wasn’t eating super healthy as I was with my son.

With him I was obsessed with healthy foods and with her I was craving donuts and ice cream- terrible.

As you can imagine, I’ve overloaded my body with toxins. So I managed to lose 30-40 pounds, and was left with 10-15 that just didn’t want to come off. I would lose it, and then gain it back again.

FAST METABOLISM IS THE KEY

Did you know that our hormones change every 7 years? From the time we get our first period onwards. One of the most important organs that regulate our metabolism is thyroid gland and as we age, especially women, it doesn’t function as well.

When we do very restrictive diets like fasting, low calories or eliminating food groups we are contributing to hormone disbalances and slowing down of our metabolism too.

Increase your metabolism and you will improve body’s fat burning ability and detox.

Do you tend to accumulate most of your weight in the mid section?

If you are feeling bloated, lathargic, have no energy, swollen or have cellulite, it is showing that your lymphatic system is not eliminating toxins the way it should and that your body is actually in toxic condition.

Another reason why we are having hard time to lose is Leaky Gut which means your body is not absorbing nutrients from foods the way that it should.

You are constantly craving food, usually sweets and junk. It is important to restore your gut health.

HOW I LOST 8 POUNDS IN 2 WEEKS

Here is how…

Did you know that your body is having much harder time digesting all food groups at once? Like meat and potatoes for example. The reason is because our stomach uses different enzymes to break down protein and carbohydrates.

What if you separate them? It is called food combining and that is why I love this diet and I believe it can work as a lifestyle change too.

For me keto, vegan, intermittent fasting just didn’t work… I would lose and gain like a yo yo, because it would not work on increasing my metabolism but slowing it down.

So how do you do this?

You would eat every 3 hours, drink plenty of water and have days when you eat high fat and no carbs, days with 0 fat and days in-between.
