What is a PERSONAL BRAND and why is it a must to grow your network marketing business on social media?

Should I brand myself or my network marketing company?
There’s a lot of talk and confusion around this. And if you are a brand new to this term that’s ok, we will break all of this down. In ATTRACTION MARKETING we teach you how to brand YOU. We show you how to build a new network of super qualified people for what you have to offer. This audience follows you because you bring value to them, they trust you AND they will buy whatever you recommend.
What about branding your network marketing company…
The idea that companies have is if ALL OF THEIR REPS are promoting company and products, word is eventually going to come out and if thousands of people do this, that will bring sales. In reality this is a very ineffective way, ESPECIALLY for an independent distributor. They do what they are told, post products all over social media and the results are not there, it actually repels people.
This is called BRAND MARKETING, that brands like Coca-Cola or Starbucks use. Everyone knows their brand and they just need to show up with their name to remind people to buy. This is very different for the unknown company. We have to use different type of marketing which is ATTRACTION MARKETING. We need to provide value, speak to our customers problems and needs and then offer them a solution for those.
So if you put in your bio “I work for Blank company” this doesn’t mean a thing to your audience. Instead put there how you are helping them. Your bio is a very valuable piece of real estate for your business. It is your business card.
5 Steps How To Brand and Re-brand yourself
I am personally going through this re-brand on my Tik-Tok channel that I will use to market my network marketing business this way. If you like to, follow me on there to get ideas. I will start with this by September 1st.
So here are the 5 steps:
1. Target market
The first step is to get clear on who your audience is, who your ideal prospect is. And no it is not EVERYONE. Not EVERYONE is your prospect! But this is what we are being told to prospect everyone you come across, don’t pre-judge…. This approach is a HARD WORK sifting and sorting through thousands of people when instead you can have your ideal prospect and only market to them. Believe me, I’ve done it the hard way.
This is especially important as you are building your team. You want people who are interested and motivated, your opportunity is exactly what they are looking for AND they will stay for a long time with you. Would you like to have a team that is super motivated and excited to grow?
Every big business has a target market, so why don’t we. You can create yours around interests that you have and no matter what you sell, they will stay loyal to you because they trust you.
2. Tools in place
With tools here, I don’t mean systems here. They are very important, but here it’s about setting all your social media profiles right. There is a tool that I LOVE and has helped me to automate my business organically for free and that in Linktree. It is a tool that holds all your links that you promote and you can place it in all your bios. This way when you are promoting through your posts. you can just point people to your bio and your links. I get 2-5 leads per day from this and out of this sales and signups too.
My first link is a free resource my ATTRACTION MARKETING FREE BOOT CAMP. This way I provide value to my target market who are network marketers.
Other places where you can post your links is your cover proto and your profile photo description. On Facebook, you can put your Linktree in the website place in your bio.
Another great tool you have on Facebook, Tik-Tok and now Instagram too, you can pin a post. You can pin a great story with a call to action and our link so it is always the first post they see.
3. Build your content plan
Search places, groups, do surveys on what your target market is asking and then write 100 topic ideas from there. It can be 10 categories and then subcategories. There are different types of posts you can do on the same topic like a quote, a story post, a curiosity post, a question, a poll, a video…. the options are endless. and you can repurpose these posts around all platforms too.
Create a posting schedule/calendar when you are posting what, based on days of the week. I have that schedule in place and here is mine:
Monday-story post with CTA to my blog
Tuesday– a quote and live video
Wednesday– my boss, who is my daughter Grace and what is she up to
Thursday- something funny
Friday– Recognition, celebration
Saturday/Sunday– lifestyle
4. Consistency
Consistency is so important. If you are always starting and stopping, it is like always starting your business from the ground up. Post daily. Don’t let all the hard work go to waste from your first 3 steps. This is ACTION.
5. Grow your target market
In the beginning you will have to do a lot of this work manually until your brand becomes so big that you are attracting masses to you. This is still attraction marketing. You are not contacting people to prospect the just to make a connection. So what you want to do is find your target market interest groups and start making friends there. You NEVER prospect them, you wait for them to raise their hand and they will do so based on the content you are providing. You also have to be growing your network EVERY DAY.
