1. Setting Your Goal
Setting a goal is super important. It is the same like a GPS, you have to enter directions where you are and where you are going in order to get you there. Sometimes we set different goals in different area of life that are pulling us in different directions too. Think of that as your GPS being confused and lost. Your goals need to be aligned and you have to be very clear on what you want.
A great exercise to do is to write a list of a 100 things that you don’t want and then on the opposite sheet right a complete opposite. The first one with things you don’t want- burn it, destroy it. Doesn’t matter how silly this may seem to do.
Now with the positive ones, use the highlighter and highlight the ones that are most important to you. Out of those pick one or 2 that you are going to be working on. are there things that are pulling you away.
You then write your goal in a present tense: “I am so happy and grateful now that______________________ give it a deadline.” Carry your goal close to you at all times, in your purse or pocket and read it few times per day. I also re-write my goal every morning in my journal.
2. Life script
We are now going to dive deeper. What I want you to do next is write a letter to yourself from the future, one year from now. Make it in a present tense as you have already achieved all your goals. Write it in as much detail as you can and fill it with emotions.
Then read this letter out loud and record it. Maybe add some relaxing background music to it too. Listen to it as you wake up on repeat, during the day and right before you go to bed…
If you read a book Think And Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, then you will know that what you are activation here is autosuggestion. A suggestion form yourself to yourself and when you listen to this on repeat, it will work as a command towards manifesting that into a reality. This has been such an important part of my day every since I was introduced to it. I change it about once a month and sometimes create a different one for a specific short term goal too.
3. Action
Third and the most important part is taking action. Action alone is not as powerful as if you do previous steps, but it is very hard to manifest without taking action too. When you align all 3 you will see how taking action towards your goal is actually going to be pleasurable, you will be inspired. As you are moving closer to your goal, your goal will move closer to you too.
Everyday habits are hard to break and if we want to get rid of a habit that is not serving us we have to replace it with a positive one. Change 1 to 2 habits at the time. Stay consistent with them until they become automatic, then add 1 or 2 more habits. If you only improve 1% every day, you won’t even recognize yourself where you will be a year from now.
One of the habits I’m working on is going to the gym. Everything in me wants to create excuses not to go, but I am working on it and progressing every day. Do whatever it takes to adopt these good habits. You can reward yourself after it’s completed, prepare yourself so you are 1/2 way there… for example have your gym clothes aligned the night before. If you are changing your diet, prepare your fridge with healthy choices that are easy to grab.
