3 steps to get them moving
1. Action Plan First 48 Hours
This is crucial that you get them doing something right away. Longer they wait to be ready more chances are they will never start and might even quit before they do. Our business is definitely pushing you out of the comfort zone.
The initial training shouldn’t take long. It should fit on a A4 sheet of paper front and back. If it’s anything longer than that, more chances are you are overwhelming them with things they don’t need to know yet.
You have to give them simple tasks to do and to report back that they have done them. It is not an easy thing to develop a new habit they will now be doing. Because of this keep in touch with them closely, daily in the first week and at least few times a week during that first month, providing they are doing the work.
2. Help Them Set Goals
It’s very important that they have goals and vision to where they are going. Also they need to be clear about their why, why they want to succeed. Who else suffers if they don’t.
If you know their why, you can remind them of it when times get tough and when they want to quit. Also once they have their goal set, you can help with breaking it down for them into smaller achievable steps.

3. Recognize Them
Prepare to praise them at every step of the way and make a huge effort at recognizing them. That creates an energy of winning and it is contagious. Recognize them for achieving ranks but also in between ranks when they are doing the right activity.
Work with fire- people on your team that are creating momentum and action. They will pull up everyone else. If you focus more on the ones who are struggling, are not coachable and always complaining, you will pull your team down.
