“Old school” Network Marketing
They told you: “EVERYONE is your prospect!” In Attraction Marketing that could not be further from the truth. In Attraction Marketing we are marketing to a specific group of people, aka your Target Market.
200 Cold messages per day!
I came across a post in one of the popular Network Marketing groups. A girl is sending 200 prospecting messages per day and hardly getting any responses.
“It’s just a numbers game”, right?
Well, yeah if you want to be wasting time, talking to everyone, risking being put in “Facebook jail”, being ghosted or hated on. Doing this is a hard way and this strategy simply does not work in 2023.
But here’s what the coaches told her…
Of course, to continue doing what she’s doing as far as sending messages. But, to change WHO she is sending messages to. That they need to be more like her. How is she supposed to know if these strangers she randomly picks are just like her??
So to them, it is totally normal to be wasting time and sending those copy/paste scripts every day….
Can you imagine…
How much time does it take to send 200 messages every day? I could never do that. The most I would send was a 100 per day for a certain period of time…
I know how time consuming that is, because I did it. That was when I was prospecting and didn’t know about Attraction Marketing.
Attraction Marketing
When I started using Attraction Marketing, my business totally changed. I no longer had to CHASE everyone who can fog a mirror, and instead I started attracting hot ready prospects to come to me.
No more wasting time and being in a messenger all day long sending & answering messages.
In “Old school” Network Marketing there are 100’s of steps….
Just imagine…
You have to find the prospects or if you are just starting out, you’re probably creating a LIST OF 100.
Once you find the prospect, you have to invite them to look at your opportunity. You would either invite them to a party, meeting or share a video.
Then you have to figure out when they will see it and schedule a follow up call.
More times than none, they will not watch the presentation when they said they would…
So you have to follow up again.
If by now they didn’t say no or ghosted you, you will then try to close them.
That also includes overcoming any objections they might have.
And in the end they hopefully say yes and join you.
You are constantly CHASING PEOPLE
And with all that work, how many out of 200 will actually join you?
“It’s EASY”
They tell you “it’s easy”. All you do is invite people to look and set up a 3 way call. But, they are not showing you the complicated process of what is in between.
No one teaches you this complex SALES PROCESS….
And no wonder why so many Network Marketers burn out and quit.
“It’s just a numbers game”
That’s what they said to that poor girl from the beginning of the story who is sending 200 copy/paste messages every day… To just keep going.
Last month I enrolled 17 new customers and had 3 upgrades to a higher level mentorship. This all happened without me talking to anyone. It was all on AUTOPILOT.
This is what can happen when you have AUTOMATION in place and you use Attraction Marketing. You don’t have to talk to prospects at all or you just talk to the most qualified ones only.
There are 3 steps you need to learn in Attraction Marketing.
They are:
- Attract
- Influence
- Enroll
1. Attract
You are going to pick one TARGET MARKET you are going to market too. And you can ATTRACT in 3 different ways too. The first way is active. you are making connections by actively reaching out to people who are in your target market.
Leveraged way is when you and your team is doing so. And automated is through paid ads when your target market grows automatically.
This is not in any way PROSPECTING. The goal here is connection and building a new relationship with your audience.
2. Influence
You are building influence through your content. It’s through videos, Reels, posts and stories. The goal is to become a valuable resource to them. The content needs to have VALUE.
It’s not just promoting your products or company. Instead you are giving a valuable free information, tips and resources to help your audience.
They will start following you and will look forward to your next post. Because you are entertaining, educational and inspiring.
Also, you will be showing your life behind the scenes.
And when you sprinkle in your products or opportunity post, they will be interested in that too because they get so much value from you and will listen to your recommendations.
This is how you build influence.
In “Old school” Network Marketing, you are not the value. Your products or opportunity is. They are not joining because of you, but because of what the company offers. This is how your company wants you to promote, but it is not effective at all.
In Attraction Marketing, people will join your business because of you. When people want to join my team, they don’t even know or care what company I’m with, because all they want is to work with me.
3. Enroll
This is where people are already raising their hands and want to work with you. You will then take them through the enrollment process. Here is another blog where I talk about CLOSING.
We don’t only want to enroll people, but we want them to be motivated and excited to start building it right away. So in the attached blog I went through that process for you.
