How do you feel about new platforms?
I’m curious when all these new platforms came like Snapchat, TikTok, Clubhouse were you on board trying to learn them or not? As for me, I was ignoring them. Thinking they will come and go.
But there are Network Marketers who always jump on first to learn them. It was the same when they moved to Instagram after Facebook wasn’t exactly “working” as well anymore. All of the sudden all Network Marketers were using it and most of them did the wrong way by spamming their products all over.
My son Jack started TikTok
He asked me one day if he can use my TikTok account and I said yes. I wasn’t really using it so I thought why not.
And here he’s recording these silly videos and would ask me: “Mom can you record me in 3x speed?” I would watch his videos and they were pretty awesome.
At first, he was doing karate videos, bo staff moves that he was very good at. Next it was Minecraft. He recorded himself playing on a broken screen tablet, you couldn’t see anything and the video went viral.
Even now he’s using cool effects like “cup edit”… he showed me when I asked what the heck was that?
I thought I was too old to figure this out and my 6 year old was crushing it. TikTok is not going anywhere… then I thought: “if my 6 year old can do it, I can figure it out too”.

And if you thought that you’d have to do these dance moves, talk on camera or because you are not young, this isn’t for you. The truth is very different. Your videos can go viral by you just pointing your finger to the text or giving simple 3 tips.
It sounded like something I could do too. So I decided I’m going to give myself 30 days and do 1 video every day. I started with Instagram Reels which is the same, a short form video.
After 30 days I just kept going. It wasn’t that difficult to create a 15 second video. Every day I was getting better. When I started I didn’t know how to do any edits, how to put 2 clips together…
My son had to show me how to do most of these things. I thought if I can just be better every day. If I didn’t know how to do something there was a YouTube tutorial for that. I learned how to remove logos so I can share my videos to other platforms, how to change colors on text, make your voice over music… There are so many things I learned that way.
Imagine… if you look a year from now, how much would you grow if you just start.
So 90 days in I started generating leads and sales like crazy. I would wake up in the morning and I would have 8 leads and sales in my email inbox. Super qualified leads. That would be while I was sleeping, doing other things even when I was traveling.

You got this! The value you share is more important. You really can’t get it wrong, just do it. Every day you will get better. I see that best when I look at my old videos, how far I have come. That would never be if I never started.
