A magic Slot Machine
I’m going to share with you magic formula that will help you create an ad that is going to work like a slot machine.
You put the $1 and you get two, three, four, or even five dollars back. Just a quick disclaimer, using Ads Manager, which is on Facebook, I would not suggest using this and starting this on your own. Without going through a course or having a coach or mentor who is guiding you through this process. I learned this the hard way.
Because if you don’t do this right, the results can be quite catastrophic. You can end up losing your channel or using the ability to advertise. So you don’t want to be messing around with that because unless you know what are some of the trigger words that you cannot use, you will not know, and you may do them by accident and affect everything that you’re doing.
Especially if you’re in network marketing, there’s certain phrases that you absolutely cannot use like MLM or working from home, making money from home. All of those are triggers. If you’re in the weight loss business, anything that is before and after any pictures before and after it’s another red flag that you cannot use.
So if you are going to do ads, promise me that you’re going to get help to get started with this.
The anatomy of the ad
Here is the anatomy of the ad.
- First, you have the primary copy or the text
- Then you have image or video
- A headline
- A call to action
- And then you have social engagement, which is all the likes, comments and shares.
There are three most important parts to any ad, and the first one is hook, second one is image or video, and the third one is a headline.
The hook is the first few sentences before they have to select read more to read the rest of the text.
Image or a video needs to be attention grabbing. No stock images. Have something that really piques attention.No dark photos, anything like that. Have a really clear image.
And the headline needs to be a big, bold promise.
Call to action needs to clearly tell them what to do. It can be in the form of a button. It can also be inside a copy of your ad and on the image or video as well. So here is the basic, formula for your ad.
PAS formula
It goes like this. It’s a P A S.
- P stands for a problem
- A stands for agitate
- S stands for solution.
And then of course there’s call to action which tells them how to get the solution.
What we teach is how to do ads in the form of a story, so the ad is actually your story and in your story you are going through these steps.
We also added B yo the end of this formula so you have P.A.S.B. B stands for benefit of your solution.
When we are talking about the next level advertising, everything is about the hook. Hook is the most important part of any ad. So really put in the most time into creating that first sentence that is grabbing the attention of your audience.
There’s two types of hooks that work the best.
- Number one is a big result
- Number two is challenging a common belief in your industry or profession.
Practice writing this in a form of organic content. Make a post, use the image and use this formula in your organic posts.
Also in your TikToks, Reels, short form videos and long form videos.
Try to use this formula and before you’re ready for advertising, that’s going to be a lot of help because copywriting is a skill that needs to be developed and it takes time to develop this skill.
This is how I started. I started posting reels and I started posting written posts before I ever went into advertising. And I had great results just doing it organically like that. But it took a lot of time. So now doing advertising for me, it saved me a lot of time.
