Did you know….
That the way you view yourself, your self-image, affects every area in your life?
Dr. Maxwell Malts talks about this in his book Psycho-Cybernetics. The author says how a person can go to see a plastic surgeon to remove a disgraceful scar on the face or badly shaped nose and it changes the way that they see themselves. But the problem is, that doesn’t always happen. Lots of times person’s confidence doesn’t improve.
We have 2 self images. One that we see as a reflection of ourselves in the mirror and one that is inside of us, how we feel about ourselves.
“You will NEVER outgrow your self image.”
The old model of you is created by others and very little by you. All the criticisms as you were growing up, insecurities, school, early mentors, your “self-worth”… it is all berried deep inside of us.
That’s how your income, what you make a year, stays the same. It’s your self-image of a person that makes that much a year. If something unpredictable happens where one month you’re making more, your inside “thermostat” is going to bring it down. Something will happen, car is going to break, animal will get sick or a pipe is going to break causing you to spend extra.

The feeling of not being WORTHY
This is the feeling I had follow me through life… and I know I’m no alone here. I’m going to share with you a few stories where that feeling manifested in my life.
I wanted to go to Vegas as a VIP
When I first started in my business end of 2016, what I wanted real bad was to attend Go Pro event live, meet my mentor Eric Worre in person and sit in the VIP section at the event.
Everything was going great… I won 2 free tickets for Christmas that year and after asking my teammates and no one was excited to go with me, I asked my upline Lisa and she said yes.
Not only she was coming from the UK, she also upgraded up to VIP.
You may think that was a dream come true for me to see and meet all the superstars, top earners, millionaires I watched on videos in person.
One feeling I couldn’t escape from was: I DON’T BELONG here, I am not worthy, I am still a nobody, I am not deserving. It was my poor self-image talking.
The truth is, unless you change how you view yourself, that will never change. You have to see yourself on that level first, before you become.
I am not a lawyer
The second story is about me growing up. My parents are both lawyers and my brother and I don’t have college education. That’s not because we couldn’t do it or we were not smart enough. It was because my parents divorced when I was 18 years old, on my birthday.
They were busy rebuilding their own life and were waiting for us to quickly just grow up so we can take care of ourselves. That is at least how I took it. I felt a responsibility to build a career very early on so I don’t have to depend on my parents ever again.
That was good and I have built an amazing life, but the feeling of me not being deserving and worthy when I’m around highly educated people, never went away.
I earned a free incentive trip to the Bahamas
In 2018 I earned a free trip to the Bahamas for me and my family. I was pregnant with Grace but was able to bring Jack, and he had the best time ever. We were so spoiled there by our company.
My teammate Gaye from Australia also won that trip and we were able to meet and spend time together after working hard on our businesses to make this happen.
Again, I didn’t give myself almost any credit for winning this. My feeling was I probably wouldn’t have done it without her… but I brought her in to the team.
You see how strong that feeling really is and how deeply it is berried inside of all of us?
Don’t be an EXTRA in your own movie
You are meant to shine and play a MAIN CHARACTER in your own movie. Decide what you want and say NO to everything else.
Think of about 8 people you really admire… write out their main characteristics. Then write out sentences in a present tense about you possessing those characteristics. Build HER or HIM. Read it as often as you can every day. Make decisions as she of he would make and not the old you.
Car wash story
After doing this exercise yesterday, creating a new me, I went out shopping. As I was driving in my car I asked myself: “Would she drive in a dirty car? What are her standards?”. And the answer was no, she wouldn’t. I drove past a car wash as I was thinking that and I pulled in.
It was a hand car wash and she wouldn’t be washing her car, she would pay people to do it. This way she can work on what she does best, her genius.
As I was leaving so grateful for their service and saying thank you with a tip, a guy that works there said: “Madam excuse me.” I turned around and he said: “I just wanted to tell you that you are gorgeous.” That made my day. I knew it was my self-image glowing on the inside.
