Have you been wondering if Facebook is dead?
I know there is a lot of talk how Facebook is no longer the best social media to grow your Network Marketing business… I’m going over this in my video and you can watch it right here below.
In the video I mention my FREE Attraction Marketing Bootcamp to help you grow your Network Marketing business using social media the right way. Click learn more to register.
So let’s answer if you should be building your Network Marketing business using Facebook or should you be moving to a new platform. I am personally not against other platforms. In fact, I am personally doing so on 4 other platforms. But Facebook is still A NUMBER ONE. We can’t ignore that.
I’d say why leave completely and lose out on all the amazing advantages Facebook has. It is great to be on a few especially if you know how to effectively repurpose it across. You also get more eye balls on your content because it’s put in front of more people.
Facebook is still a number one
There is no better platform to create real connections. It is about every day things, keep up with your friends, be social. Especially in the last few years when we couldn’t travel much it allowed us to connect and keep in touch with friends all over the world. And of course to build your network marketing business using Facebook completely online.
Because it’s the biggest it also have stricter rules we have to follow if we are looking to grow our business with it. For example… have you ever posted and got “crickets”, nobody reacted to your post? Or get a few likes that are like sister and mom. The problem is that no one is seeing your posts.
So how are you going to grow if no one is seeing your posts… your engagement is a Queen where the content is a King.
How does Facebook algorithm work?
When you first share your post it gets shown to maybe 10 people just to see how it does. Then if you have lots of people commenting and liking it, it’s going to open it to more people and if that trend continues, then to even more.
My engagement has been crazy over the past weeks, I’d get 300 and over 500 likes on a single post. You are probably wondering what type of content should I be creating… don’t worry that’s what we will cover next.
Things that worked in 2015 and 2017 don’t work now in 2022. Every year is different. I will share with you what works in 2022.
1. Who is your niche
This is the number one thing you’ll need to figure out is who is your niche, your target market. You got to be specific. If you’re talking to everyone, you’re talking to no one. On Instagram all your posts need to be talking to your niche where on Facebook you can branch out more. On your Facebook profile posts need to be native, kind of like you’re talking to a friend.
You have to think of 3-5 buckets of content that are your interests and when you post will pull other people to you. Your niche is probably someone who is very much like you.
The next thing that I have is a weekly posting schedule, meaning what I post each day of the week. This is huge because then I can create something super fast.
Maybe Monday is a longer piece of content like a story post, a video or a regular post, Tuesday motivation, Wednesday something you’re passionate about, Thursdays something engaging (funny), Friday celebration, Weekend lifestyle.
Engagement is the most important part of your strategy… funny is a good direction to take. Make sure you have one of these posts once per week.
It will bring more traction to your other posts guaranteed….
2. Post up to 2 times per day
You don’t want to be posting more than that because your posts will be competing with each other. Posting more than once, maximum twice is what’s recommended now.
Be original. Take time and create your posts. I know all the influencers are asking you to share but that’s only bringing more traffic to them and not you.
It is not wrong to get ideas from other posts, don’t copy but you can model the way the story is told. Just make your version of it with your story.
Be native with platform, like on Facebook… you don’t have to graphic design photos with text on them. They usually don’t perform well. Keep it simple.
Also quote posts… if you share those pretty designed images, they will not get engagement. The best is to use colored backgrounds Facebook gives you or just words. I like 80 characters or less for this than your font stays big. So re-write quotes and give credit or twist them to make your own spin.
Facebook doesn’t like when you take people off of their platform.
It’s like when I write my blog, I am usually very careful and I don’t post the link to the blog until I get some engagement first. Then I will edit the post and add the link.
3. Engage before you post
Engaging in other people’s posts first helps your engagement. But here most uplines and coaches do it wrong. They create these chats where you are all engaging with each other’s posts.
This is a BAD STRATEGY… because now you are teaching Facebook algorithm to show your posts to your teamies more. In fact you should be engaging with potential buyers instead, so they end up seeing your posts.
Create a list of people who you’d like to be working with and pay attention to their posts.
4. Don’t post anything polarizing like politics…
If you’re still reading this…. and you’re not already saying I’m over Facebook, here is a hard true. You may hate me for saying this, but if you want to grow your business using Facebook as a platform you absolutely want to stay away from posting polarizing, politics stuff on here.
In case you do and you are target of “fact checkers”, your content is going to be hidden and you may even get restricted or removed. See if it’s worth it. There are other platforms where content like this is welcome.
I now get tons of engagement, but I know in the past if I was posting something controversial, it would not be seen by anyone… Shadow-banning is real. I’m building my network marketing using Facebook so I decided to play by its rules.
