Lots of different opinions…
There are lots of different opinions when it comes to this subject. Some network marketers are very successful using Facebook pages while others leverage Facebook groups very effectively.
I’m going to share with you how I leverage Facebook in order to attract 500 plus leads to me every single month.
And before I share with you my opinion on which one is the best, let’s break all these methods down first.
Facebook profile
This is where everyone starts. When you join Facebook, you first create a personal profile. Most network marketers decide to start building their business using their personal profile.
Here are some pro’s:
- It’s a free strategy
- Very quick way to be seen by people who know you
- Get some buzz around what you have quick if you have a large network
- Easy way for people who already know you to raise their hands and show interest in what you have to offer
- Quickly connect with people via private message
Basically, it’s the best way to get exposure and it is free. And it’s the best way to build your personal brand.
Think about it…
Most top earners in this space are NOT using their personal profile to talk about their company or products.
Instead, they are sharing their lifestyle.
What they are doing, what their prospects want, time freedom, travel and going to events. These are the type of posts you want to put out there.
If you want to attract prospects you need to cultivate an attractive image. Makes sense, right?
And here are some con’s:
- It’s not scalable
- You cannot add “gas” to what you’re already doing by advertising
- Can’t walk away, but you got to stay consistent
Sure you can plan & pre-schedule your content or have someone do it for you.
Your personal profile is technically not made for business so you got to be careful.
Don’t promote your products or business, but get people to learn about you.
Facebook pages
On the other hand Facebook pages are meant for business. They are meant to help you build an audience of non-personal followers and fans.
Also they are intended for you to engage in sales and promotions.
You can create targeted advertising to have your best “to be” customers and team members to see your offer.
It’s scalable! You can use your advertising dollars from profits and re-invest them to create more leads and more sales.
There are some con’s too:
- It’s a long term approach
- Pay to play
- A learning curve
Facebook groups
Should you start a Facebook group? My opinion is: it cannot hurt! They are free, interactive & you’re building a community.
But, you got to be active in it daily.
So should you use personal profile, pages or groups?
My answer is ALL 3.
1. Set up a Facebook page, attract your audience and start learning about advertising.
2. Build a brand on your personal profile.
3. And, announce to your followers that you are starting a new group and encourage them to join it.
