Get Started is the most important trainings when you’re growing a team. When the new person gets started on your team you want them to take action. Duplication is a key and most importantly having results as new customers or reps.
This will help your team grow so you’re not always stuck being recruiting and your team quitting. I’m going to share a strategy with you that will make your team know exactly what to do and for your business to grow.

Quit after one month
My first team member I ever recruited quit after 1 month. It was quite unbelievable and shocking to me because I didn’t know how to take it. I had recruited about 8 people in my first couple of months and was just sharing what I was doing that was working.
But she entered that “witness protection program” and was always busy with something like painting cabinets or would ignore my messages.
Finally she told me that she’s not cut out for this. I didn’t know how to take that. It was after just one month. Later I learned that this is very normal in our industry. People quit on themselves.
I went on and created success…
My first year was quite successful. I’ve built a team and went up to the leadership ranks. From the beginning I was focusing on social media.
The main strategy I was doing was cold market prospecting. What I realized was that my team didn’t exactly want to do what I was doing to grow my business.
I had to go through lots of rejection, people calling me scammer and spammer. And I was spending a lot of time on social media in all these one on one conversations.
Staying up late and waking up early was what I had to do because I didn’t have tons of extra time to build my business. It was exhausting at times, I think, especially if you do it for a long time.
This was why my team didn’t duplicate. They would do something for a season, then wouldn’t follow through and quit and I constantly had to recruit new people.
What if… they don’t want to do what they are supposed to do?
Nobody asks that question. Because most marketers believe that cold market prospecting is the only way. When you think about it, most things that marketers are told to do is things they don’t want to do. Things like chasing their friends and family, sending copy/paste messages to strangers, dealing with rejection, dealing with people who are calling them scammers…
They don’t want to do that.
So I was doing this for 5 years, taking action, willing to do it as long as it takes, whatever it takes attitude. Then one weekend my husband came home and said: “It’s a beautiful day to go to the beach.”
I would usually work my business crazy on the weekends because that was all the time I got, but that day I said: “Yes, why not”.
That was also around the time I started learning Attraction Marketing and I thought: “I’ not going to building this way anymore.”
I finally THREW AWAY MY LIST and I stopped building my business that way. There was no way I was creating another PROSPECTING LIST again.
I stopped prospecting and my business started to grow again
Here’s how to work with your newest team member. You got to see them as they will be your next Rockstar or as if they will quit tomorrow.
First thing to do is have an interview with them within the first 24-48 hours of them joining you. On this interview you are going to find out how they want to be building their business meaning if they are urgent, want to go to the top, build fast or they want to go slow.
They may be someone who just wants to enroll a few customers, pay for their products and don’t want to run as fast as you or some other people on your team.
Either way… you have to have a track for them to run on
You have to have a Fast Pace system for the ones who want to go fast and those that are going slow give them assignments based on their goals.
When they set their goals with you, help them break it down for them into small steps that are achievable with certain actions they need to take.
It’s exciting when new people join your team
This is why I like to recruit in bunches. I have months that are designated to only enrolling new team members. Then the following months I can just support them.
I help train them, recognize leaders and work with them, create momentum and duplication.
When you make your business plan for a year, schedule those recruiting months in your calendar. I always have my year planned like this. Think on which months you have the least distractions so you can do it.
This doesn’t mean I will be prospecting on those months and spending tons of time on social media. My systems are automated. All my focus is on marketing and letting people know they can join my team. I also share all the benefits if they join me.
